Benjamin Sanchis’s Giant Wave at Jaws – Maui, Hawaii on December 22, 2024

 Winter 2024 season, professional big-wave surfer Benjamin Sanchis charged one of the largest and most powerful swells ever seen at Jaws (Peʻahi), it was the same day of the Eddie Aikau Invitational that happens in Waimea, Oahu. Towed into the face of a mountain-sized wave, probably the biggest wave ever ridden, the lip pitching over with raw, thunderous power, the scale of the wave dwarfed everything around it, ended in a brutal wipeout, he stood as a striking testament to courage, precision, and the eternal pursuit of the impossible that defines big-wave surfing.
