In 2012, Cloudbreak, Fiji, witnessed one of the most iconic big-wave sessions in modern surfing history. A giant swell rolled across the South Pacific, hitting the island with unprecedented size and power, so extreme that the scheduled competition had to be canceled. Freed from the contest format, the world’s top big-wave surfers seized the opportunity to chase the largest barrels ever ridden at Cloudbreak, pushing the limits of skill, courage, and ocean knowledge.
