 On December 23, 2024, Alessandro “Alo” Slebir and Luca Padua faced one of the most formidable swell ever seen at Mavericks, a surf break renowned for its massive waves and challenging conditions. Towed into a towering wall of water, Slebir surfed the waves with precision and courage, showcasing the culmination of years of dedication and training. This session not only demonstrated the surfers’ skill but also highlighted the evolving limits of the sport, as they tackled waves that many had only dreamed of riding.
